Sound familiar?

Parents usually tell us one of these

  • The predicted grade on the UCAS form is below what the offer asks for.
  • They’re trying, and it doesn’t seem to be working.
  • They’ve done the books, the websites and the videos, and it still isn’t landing.
  • I can’t help with the subject myself, and I don’t know where they actually are.
  • The jump to Year 13 hit harder than anyone warned us.

When we mark a paper from a student in this position, it is rarely a knowledge problem. The marks are lost in the same few places: extended answers, calculations set out without working, and answers that are right in spirit but miss the wording the mark scheme asks for.

Those are fixable, and quickly, once someone shows your child which ones are theirs.

Inside the GeniusPath platform

Every question is from the real exam boards

Your child practises real past-paper questions, marks them against the real mark scheme, and sees what the examiners said about them. The platform keeps track of every mark.

The GeniusPath dashboard: average score 79%, 8 questions answered, a practice streak and the recommended next topic.
The dashboard. Average score, practice streak and the next topic to work on, chosen from the marks your child has lost.
An AQA past-paper question on the plum pudding model, with the student's answer, the official mark scheme points ticked, and the examiner's comment.
A real past-paper question. Your child ticks each point of the official mark scheme they earned, then reads what the examiner said about the question.

The Mark Recovery System

Four stages, from first paper to final exam

Every student follows the same sequence. Only the topics change, because they come from your child’s own marked papers.

  1. Week 1

    Diagnose

A full predicted paper, with every lost mark mapped by topic and by type. This becomes their Mark Recovery Plan.

  2. Every week

    Recover

One weak topic at a time, taught live, then retried on the platform until they score 90%.

  3. Mocks

    Mock check

School mocks become a progress test. A second predicted paper shows what has moved, and the plan is adjusted.

  4. Easter to the exam

    Run-in

A third predicted paper, then timed papers and spaced review through to the exam, so nothing recovered slips back.

“Most students I mark don’t have a knowledge problem. They lose marks in the same few places, and once they can see which ones are theirs, they can win them back.”

Abdinajib, founder of GeniusPath

Abdinajib founded GeniusPath to give students what a busy classroom can’t: someone who marks their work properly, shows them exactly where the marks went, and stays with them until the exam. He teaches every Chemistry session himself, and the person who marks your child’s predicted papers is the person who teaches them.

Our guarantee

The grade their offer needs, or your money back

If your child does all three of these things and still misses the grade their university offer needs, you get the programme fee back in full.

Abdinajib Founder, GeniusPath
  1. They attend at least 90% of sessions.
  2. They submit the weekly check-in, every week.
  3. They retry every set topic until they score 90% or more.

The full terms of the guarantee, including how to claim, are in our terms, and it is confirmed in writing for your child’s programme when you book.

Is it right for your child?

Who it’s for, and who it isn’t

It’s for

  • Year 12 and Year 13 students whose predicted grade is below what their offer, or their plan, needs.
  • Students who work hard but can’t see where their marks are going.
  • Students who will do the set work between sessions and retry topics until they’re secure.
  • GCSE students taking AQA Combined Science (Trilogy).
  • Parents who want to know how it’s going in marks, not adjectives.

It isn’t for

  • Families looking for a cram session the week before the exam.
  • Students who won’t do the set work between sessions. The retries are where the grade moves.
  • Anyone who wants a grade promised without the work behind it.
  • Students more than three grades below the grade their offer needs.
  • GCSE students on separate sciences or other boards. At GCSE we teach AQA Combined Science (Trilogy).
FAQ

Questions parents ask

Something else? Email hello@geniuspath.co.uk, or message us.

What happens on the 20-minute call?

We go through your answers and your child’s diagnostic with you. You’ll leave knowing where the marks are going, whether GeniusPath is right for your child, and what it would take. If it isn’t the right fit, we’ll say so.

What if my child misses a session?

Every session is recorded, so your child can catch up on anything they miss, and rewatch any session before their exams. Missed sessions still count towards the attendance condition of the guarantee, so we’ll talk to you if it starts to happen often.

Which exam boards do you cover?

The platform’s questions come from AQA and OCR A for the sciences, Edexcel, AQA and OCR A for Maths, and AQA Trilogy for GCSE Combined Science. Each subject page lists its boards and papers. Your child practises questions from their own board, marked to its mark scheme.

For A-level Chemistry, Abdinajib also teaches students on other boards, including OCR B (Salters), Edexcel, WJEC and Eduqas, CCEA and the international A levels. Ask on the call.

How does WhatsApp support work?

Between sessions, your child can send a photo of the question they’re stuck on, with their working, and get help to move forward. The aim is to get them unstuck and thinking, not to do the work for them. We’ll agree the details, and who is in the conversation, with you at the start.

What is the GeniusPath platform?

It’s where your child practises between sessions. It sets real past-paper questions from their exam board, shows the official mark scheme and the examiner’s comments, and tracks every topic on the specification. A topic counts as done when they score 90% on a retry, so weak spots get fixed, not skipped.

What if my child doesn’t want to do it?

Ask them to take the free 5-minute diagnostic before the call. Most students come round once someone shows them, on their own answers, exactly which marks they dropped and how few changes it takes to win them back.

Find out where your child’s marks are going.
